Our services.

  • Student Organization

The IVLA is currently taking new members at the University of Idaho College of Law (Moscow campus). Law students do not have to be veterans to join. The IVLA provides ample opportunities for law students to earn pro bono hours, gain practical hands-on experience, network with local attorneys, and draft legal documents for veterans in need of legal aid.

  • Free Legal Services

Providing free legal services to veterans in the community is our bread and butter. The IVLA works with many attorneys and other legal professionals in the area to ensure that veterans who utilize our legal clinics can receive expert advice for their specific needs. We host several free Veteran Wills Clinics a year to further support the brave men and women who have served our country.

  • Community Outreach

One of our favorite things to do is work with other veteran organizations across Idaho and Washington. The IVLA is proud to have teamed up with the VA Vet Center in Spokane, WA and the VFW Dept. of Idaho for past events. Veterans who visit our legal aid clinics can utilize their resources, check their VA claims, and more while they wait for their appointment to begin.

  • Legal Professionals

The Idaho Military Legal Alliance (IMLA) oversees our student organization at every legal aid clinic that we host to ensure compliance. The Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program (IVLP) works to ensure that Idaho attorneys who volunteer at our legal aid clinics receive pro bono credit and are covered with the necessary malpractice insurance for these events.
